Une Victoire chargée d’émotions

Coming back to Gérardmer is always special. This race has a soul of its own. The setting, the crowd, the history… everything gives you the feeling of being part of something bigger. On Saturday, September 6, 2025, I was once again on the start line, with the desire to relive those unique sensations, but also with the awareness that nothing is ever guaranteed.

From the swim in the lake, the sensations were good. I quickly moved to the front while staying focused. I exited the water in the lead, knowing that the race was still long. Before long, on the bike, my training partner Nina Derron caught up with me. What followed was an intense, respectful and demanding head-to-head battle. For the entire 90 km, we rode “together,” never really able to separate from one another. Every climb, every acceleration mattered and required full commitment.

The legendary Poli climb lived up to its reputation. The crowd was incredible—loud, passionate, and fully behind us. It felt almost like riding a stage of the Tour de France.

On the run, the scenario remained the same. We stayed side by side, each taking turns at the front. Everything came down to the final lap. On an uphill section, I finally managed to open a small gap—just enough to secure my lead before the last loop along the lake.

Crossing the finish line in first place, in 4:48:06, and winning for the second consecutive year on this iconic race in the Vosges was an incredibly powerful moment. A victory made even more special by sharing it with my family—my parents, my grandparents and my uncle—all there to support me. Having them by my side at the finish line made the moment even more meaningful.

With this new success, I capped off an exceptional summer on French roads. In just a few weeks, I won three of the most prestigious long-distance triathlons in France:

Alpe d’Huez Triathlon, Embrunman, and now Gérardmer.

A historic triple victory that will remain one of the strongest memories of my 2025 season.
