Going to the very end of myself

Ironman Western Australia marked the final race of my long 2025 season. After several weeks spent in China preparing for this goal, I knew my form might not be perfect. But the desire was still there—intact—with a deep motivation to give everything I had left, one last time.

Surrounded by my family, I took the start at Busselton Jetty, an iconic location with crystal-clear waters. The pace was very fast and I missed the front group. I then chose to stay true to my plan and race my own race. The bike course, completely flat, runs through stunning landscapes that make you want to push beyond your limits. I delivered a very strong performance over the 180 km and entered T2 in 4th position, ready to fight.

The marathon, however, reminded me just how unpredictable an Ironman can be. After a solid start, cramps gradually set in. The kilometers became long and extremely painful. I had to slow down, adapt, and accept. But I never gave up. Every meter covered was a battle, fought with determination.

I crossed the finish line in 8th place. It wasn’t the initial goal—a Kona qualification was in the back of my mind—but on that day, it was everything I could give. And I am proud of that. Being able to rely on the support of my parents and my brother, present before, during, and after the race, gave me tremendous strength.

The 2025 season ends here, filled with gratitude, valuable lessons, and a strong desire to keep progressing.

Now it’s time to take a breath, enjoy a few days off, soak in the Australian nature… and recharge before opening a new chapter.
