Fréjus, a last-minute opportunity
Saturday, August 30, 2025 will remain a special day in my journey. Just two weeks after Embrunman, my body was still carrying the marks of that extreme race. Recovery was short, incomplete, and uncertainty was very real. On top of that, confirmation of my participation in the T100 French Riviera only came two days before the race, with the award of a wild card. An unexpected and exceptional opportunity, giving me the chance to test myself for the first time over this distance and at this level.

At 7:12 a.m., the race began. From the swim, the sensations were good. The pace was high, the commitment total, and exiting the water in third position allowed me to fully step into the race, right alongside the best triathletes in the world.
On the bike, the decision was clear: play my cards. Despite the lingering fatigue, the legs responded. The 80 kilometers were intense and demanding, driven by real determination. On the main climb of the course, the group split apart and I found myself at the front, ahead of Georgia Taylor-Brown and Jess Learmonth in the final kilometers of the ascent. A strong, motivating moment that gave me the energy to push through the final part of the bike. I posted the fastest bike split of the day and reached the second transition with nearly two minutes’ lead.

The run was tougher. Kilometer after kilometer, the legs grew heavier and positions gradually slipped away. Being caught is part of the game at this level, especially after such a demanding race and a short recovery window. At that point, it was about accepting the situation, managing the effort, and moving forward with whatever was left in my legs until the finish line.
This first experience on the T100 circuit ended with a 10th place worldwide. A result that only tells part of the story. Beyond the ranking, this race was above all a huge learning experience: seizing a last-minute opportunity, committing fully, and measuring the level of the world’s elite.
After victories at Alpe d’Huez and Embrunman, Fréjus marks a new step. Not an end point, but a solid foundation to keep building, with patience and motivation.
